Welcomes You
Our Presiding Bishop
28th Presiding Bishop & Primate
The Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe was elected presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church in June 2024 and took office on Nov. 1 for a nine-year term. In this role, he serves as the church’s chief pastor and CEO. Known for his expertise in organizational learning and adaptive change, Rowe is committed to strengthening support for local ministry and mission.
He was ordained bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania in 2007 after serving as rector of St. John’s in Franklin, Pennsylvania, for seven years. From 2014 to 2018, he served as bishop provisional of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem, and from 2019 to 2024, he led a partnership between the Episcopal Dioceses of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York.
Rowe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Grove City College, a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in organizational learning and leadership from Gannon University. He has served as a leader of many civic and churchwide organizations and governance bodies, and as parliamentarian for the House of Bishops.

Dear Friends,
As we prepare to begin a new program season at Immanuel starting on Sunday, September 13th, we invite you to take an active part in the life of our parish.
This year’s mission, “Beyond the Churchyard,” calls us to invite, welcome, and connect Immanuel with our community, our diocese, and beyond. One of the most meaningful ways we can do that is through personal evangelism—simply inviting friends, family, and neighbors to experience the life and fellowship of Immanuel.
We have an exciting calendar of upcoming opportunities, including weekly Bible Study, Fellowship Hour, the Sunday Rector’s Forum, Theology on Tap, Souper Bowl, the Great Immanuel Parish Chili Cookoff, Oktoberfest, a variety of concerts and much, much more.
Come, participate, and bring someone with you! You simply extend an invitation—Immanuel will do the rest.
Let’s make this a year of joyful fellowship, meaningful connection, and growing God’s Kingdom—beyond the churchyard!
Let’s go, fellow evangelists!
In Christ,
Your Stewardship Ministry Team

Ongoing Fellowship Events
Fellowship Hour: There will be a coffee hour every Sunday, even through the summer months, following the 10:00 am service
Play Date at Immanuel on the Green: The Playgroup is currently on hiatus. Please click here for all information.
The Stewardship Ministry is busy planning a lively calendar of events to promote fellowship for members, regular attendees, and friends of the parish, but also to entice those who may have been absent for a while to return in person.
Traditions will continue, and the Ministry plans to add new and exciting events that will appeal to one and all.
We will publish upcoming events in the newsletter and on this page of the website, so be sure to watch this space!
Please plan to become engaged in this important and rewarding part of being a parishioner at Immanuel on the Green.
Do you want to get more involved, have ideas for Fellowship events, or want to donate to the Stewardship Ministry? Let us know!
Every little helps, and we appreciate your support! All contributions to Immanuel on the Green are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt and statement via email.
