Dear fellow Immanuelians,
Everything is a gift -
It is on this premise that the foundation of stewardship is built. Our life, our property, our health, our talents, our money — these are all gifts from God. As people of faith, we know that everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God. We live a "way of life" that says "Yes" to what God has entrusted to us – with thankfulness and gratitude.
Thankfulness is a feeling and true gratitude is an action - the action of giving freely and living out that gratitude on a daily basis by recognizing how blessed we are.
Our Stewardship Campaign is an affirmation that we care about what has been entrusted to us and that we care about each other. Immanuel has been impacting lives for over 330 years and that is a very long time! Our longevity as a parish gives us a particular viewpoint as we look toward a bright future. Immanuel has been (and continues to be) a place where joy, abundance, laughter and spiritual awakening are not only shared, but multiplied. Our stewardship of this place is a pledge of the inheritance we have received as Christians and as members/friends of this parish church we all love so much.
So, I encourage you to continue to prayerfully consider your giving to Immanuel for the coming year and whatever gifts you are able to share, share them in justice and love with others!
Faithfully,
Your friend and priest,
Fr. Keene
