The Episcopal Church
Welcomes You
Our Presiding Bishop
28th Presiding Bishop & Primate
The Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe was elected presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church in June 2024 and took office on Nov. 1 for a nine-year term. In this role, he serves as the church’s chief pastor and CEO. Known for his expertise in organizational learning and adaptive change, Rowe is committed to strengthening support for local ministry and mission.
He was ordained bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania in 2007 after serving as rector of St. John’s in Franklin, Pennsylvania, for seven years. From 2014 to 2018, he served as bishop provisional of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem, and from 2019 to 2024, he led a partnership between the Episcopal Dioceses of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York.
Rowe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Grove City College, a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in organizational learning and leadership from Gannon University. He has served as a leader of many civic and churchwide organizations and governance bodies, and as parliamentarian for the House of Bishops.

The Immanuel Flower Guild assists in the worship of the parish by providing and preparing flowers or greens at the altar and occasionally in other places in and outside the church building for all Sunday services, Holy Days and other special occasions. Only natural materials are used.
Exercising this ministry, members of the Immanuel Flower Guild strive to be sensitive to the setting for which the flowers will be in offering: the liturgical occasion, the day and season, the particular color of the hangings and vestments, the content of the readings of Holy Scripture and the parts of the church building and/or grounds (altar, font, choir loft, churchyard gate, front doors, etc.) which will be a focus of the particular service.
Members of the Immanuel Flower Guild are responsible for all aspects of selecting materials and containers, the arrangement, placement, maintenance, and eventual removal of offerings during their week of duty. We maintain a varied collection of containers.
The Immanuel Flower Guild also has discerned and answered a call to be a resource to the rest of the diocese for inspiration and guidance. Members are invited by the chair and appointed by the Rector.
If you're interested in finding out more about the Immanuel Flower Guild, please speak to Mark Bacher or contact the parish office.
Memorials can be a Sunday closest to a set date (such as a birthday, anniversary, or passing), or a specific Sunday in the month (such as the 1st Sunday in October), and can be recurring or one-time happenings.
The following Sundays do not have dedicated flower offerings:
